Strong interest in electrical trades

On Thursday, April 23, 14 girls from Mainburg and Dingolfing gained insight into various electrical trades as part of Girls’ Day. For the past eight years, the Bachner Group has participated in this annual event to show girls their opportunities available in the skilled trades sector and to spark their interest in STEM fields.

At the Bachner Campus training academy in Wambach and at our Dingolfing branch, the participants learned more about job profiles such as that of an electronics technician for energy and building technology or an information electronics technician. The program also included an overview of everyday work life in the electrical industry. The main focus on Thursday was on the practical side: After receiving instruction in soldering and electrical assembly, the girls were able to try their hand at these tasks themselves with the support of first-year apprentices and the Bachner Group’s full-time trainer. Any questions that had arisen throughout the day could be asked afterward.

As a corporate group, promoting the next generation has always been close to our hearts. In addition to participating in events like Girls’ Day, we also have many partnerships with regional schools and offer internship opportunities in various departments. With more than 100 trainees across the company, we are also making an important contribution to the future of the electrical trade.
