We promote your passion

From the very beginning, the company has attached great importance to training. The first apprentices joined the company as far back as 1937, only 17 years after the company was founded. We don't want to stop nurturing the passion, skills, and talents that you bring. We are currently training around 100 young people at Elektro Bachner – that's over 10% of our workforce. An apprenticeship with us is so much more than just a workplace and vocational school. We want to guide you between school and working life.

Introductory weeks

September 1 is incredibly exciting for us every year, too! We enter the professional world together with all our new apprentices. During the introductory weeks, you will get to know all of your fellow apprentices and enter your working lives together. In addition to important safety instructions and a first aid course, there is also an excursion as part of the program each year. You will learn the basics about our internal communications or how to use your tools before you can fully start your professional life.

Deployment in the technical department

After that, you will begin with the training officer from your specialist department at your side. Your other expert colleagues will also show you their work on construction sites or in the office. Depending on the scope of the assignment, you will be assigned to each team for around three to six months. To begin with, you will mostly be watching over the shoulders of your colleagues, before taking on more and more responsibility on construction sites or in projects over the course of your apprenticeship.

Preparing for exams

You will not only be learning at vocational school during your apprenticeship. We also organize workshops, courses, and training programs beyond the curriculum to deepen your professional knowledge or train your soft skills in dealing with customers and colleagues.

And don't panic before exams – we step it up a notch in the weeks leading up to exam periods! Our training workshops and theoretical preparation courses prepare you perfectly for the intermediate and final exams.

Each apprentice is assigned a mentor throughout their apprenticeship. Mentors are tasked with imparting their specialist knowledge to you in practice and are your first point of contact on site. They are there for you whatever questions or difficulties you have relating to work, vocational school, or even in your private life.

During your apprenticeship, you will become familiar with our various areas of responsibility in all our specialist departments. We want to give you a comprehensive and detailed insight into all the fields of application throughout the period of your apprenticeship. In return, you may even work at other branches from time to time.

In regular apprentice projects, you can apply the specialist knowledge you have learned and your organizational and social skills. In the fall of 2020, our apprentices were allowed to install the photovoltaic systems for our branch in Ingolstadt. They were responsible for the entire project themselves, from planning to implementation.

Six different apprenticeships at eight different locations. But despite being spread about, all of our apprentices make a really great team. As something different from the daily work routine, every year we organize a joint trainee day with exciting activities and excursions.

You will review your successes every six months in feedback sessions with your mentor. Together, you will plan your ongoing goals and discuss possibilities for improvement and further development.

Our Apprenticeship Plus days are about teaching you additional soft skills for your everyday work and for dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

We cover the cost of textbooks and other teaching materials you need for your apprenticeship.

The European Youth Card gives you up to 70% off on cultural events, accommodation, and restaurants when traveling throughout Europe. And thanks to our cooperation partner, you save even more money for your own European Youth Card.

Internal training programs, practical exercises in our apprenticeship workshop, and preparatory courses all offer you the perfect preparation on top of your vocational school education for the intermediate and final exams.

From their first day of work, all Bachner employees also have private accident insurance. The protection also includes accidents that occur during leisure time and abroad. Our personnel office will handle the compensation payments for you.

Company pension scheme

We finance your retirement provision through the ElektroRente in the amount of up to €60 per month. In addition, you can top up your monthly contributions through deferred compensation. We will support you with another 15 % on top.

Subsidy for daycare centers, day nurseries and daycare for children

We support you in balancing family and career in many ways. For the care of your little ones, you will receive a subsidy of €75 per month and child for a daycare center, crèche or daycare. If available, we offer our colleagues in Mainburg a place in our kindergarten group Igelbau.

Promotion of further and advanced training

We demand and encourage independent action and work in all areas. And we create the basis for this through appropriate training, continuing education and regular training courses. Of course in technical matters, but also in personal and social aspects.

Workwear & BachnerShop

When you start work, we will provide you with three pairs of professional work pants and tops free of charge, as well as a pair of safety shoes every year. In addition to workwear, we have other clothing and various accessories in Bachner design for you to choose from. Depending on the annual business result, you will receive a credit for the purchase in the BachnerShop.

Numerous purchasing advantages

All Elektro Bachner employees receive up to 20 % discount on their purchases in the EURONICS Bachner in Mainburg. In addition, our partner Benefit Concepts offers you numerous discounts in local and online stores.

Carpooling to the site

Our work often takes place on construction sites at the customer's location, in industrial halls or office complexes, at schools as well as in airports or clinics. You don't have to drive there yourself – but together with your colleagues from the Bachner location with our company station wagons.

Additional earnings

We are pleased if you actively shape your everyday working life at Bachner. That's why we reward your suggestions for operational improvements with up to several thousand euros. In addition, we also rely on recommendations from your network when looking for personnel. You can receive up to €2,000 in bonuses for successful employee recruitment.

It doesn't matter whether it's time to go away or to spend the vacations at home: In order to be able to master the daily challenges that our work brings, an occasional break from everyday life is essential. For this reason, all of our employees receive 30 days of vacation (based on a 5-day week). In addition, no additional vacation has to be taken on Christmas (12/24) and New Year's Eve (12/31).

Internship

Not sure yet if electrical engineering is for you? An internship is an excellent way to get a comprehensive insight into your entry-level opportunities. Every year on Girls Day, we organize a day of career orientation for all prospective female electrical engineers.

Training

During your vocational training, you will have the opportunity to get to know our departments more closely. You have the chance to learn more about your own talents and to specialize professionally.

Electrician

As an electrician, you are an expert in your field and the first point of contact for customers on site. Working with your colleagues, you implement their requests and requirements on the construction site.

Senior Fitter

Senior fitters are on site most of the time and assist with electrical work. They are also responsible for assigning staff based on expertise and capacity, as well as for quality control of the work performed. Would that be something for you?

Construction Site Manager

After several years of professional experience and further training as a technician or master craftsman in electrical engineering, you can handle entire construction sites as a site manager. You are responsible for the course and success of the project and always have an eye on milestones and deadlines.
