We have been growing beyond ourselves for 100 years

The first spark

In Mainburg, 1920, master electrician Hans Bachner founded his retail business for electrical installations in private households. His passion for electrical engineering preordained his success. The orders increased and soon his store was too small. The new store space with workshop was only the first of many expansions or enlargements over the coming years. Since then, the company has been growing in step with the field of electrical engineering.

As early as 1950, Elektro Bachner received its first orders from industry and the public sector. The customer base soon grew beyond the Holledau region. MTU, headquartered in Munich, has been one of our loyal customers ever since, and continues to rely on our expertise in electrical engineering. Elektro Bachner has been a regular supplier to BMW in Dingolfing since 1975. However, it is not only for our customers that we value consistency and long-term collaboration...

Growing together

It is just as important for us to be a safe employer for our employees as well. Today, about 700 employees are situated at ten sites in Germany, Austria, and the USA, where they share a passion for electrical engineering.

Throughout our history we have lived and grown with the developments in electrical engineering. From the mechanical switchgear and control systems of the early days to the dawn of data technology and automation. Our vision is to continue to keep developing new areas of our business. For our customers and so that our employees can freely develop their talents and abilities.

World War, economic crisis, pandemic. We are not dependent on any industry or company, and our broad range of services has allowed us to grow and hire new employees. New orders and customers from all over the country continue to ensure new branches and site into the future. In this way, we remain close as a service provider for our customers. We offer all our colleagues free insurance coverage worth around €40 per month. Our Bachner Group contract provides partial or full reimbursement for dental treatment, subsidies for glasses and contact lenses, and coverage for up to 45 days a year for worldwide travel abroad.

Employer-funded accident insurance

From their first day of work, all Bachner employees also have private accident insurance. The protection also includes accidents that occur during leisure time and abroad. Our personnel office will handle the compensation payments for you.

Lifetime work account

We support flexible life planning for our colleagues and are happy to allow them to take a sabbatical or private training, for example. To this end, you can pay your remaining vacation, special payments, overtime or part of your salary into a so-called working time account. The paid-in remuneration can be used flexibly for a later leave of absence.

Company pension scheme

We finance your retirement provision through the ElektroRente in the amount of up to €60 per month. In addition, you can top up your monthly contributions through deferred compensation. We will support you with another 15 % on top.

BusinessBike

Our company conditions in the BusinessBike portal enable you to obtain your individual dream bike or e-bike at low cost via salary conversion. And because joint tours are even more fun, you can even lease a second bike, e.g. for your partner. Compared to buying a bike, you can save up to €250 per year with our conditions. In addition, we take over the full insurance for your new BusinessBike. This means that you also receive an all-round carefree package worth around €80 per year.

Subsidy for daycare centers, day nurseries and daycare for children

We support you in balancing family and career in many ways. For the care of your little ones, you will receive a subsidy of €75 per month and child for a daycare center, crèche or daycare. If available, we offer our colleagues in Mainburg a place in our kindergarten group Igelbau.

Promotion of further and advanced training

We demand and encourage independent action and work in all areas. And we create the basis for this through appropriate training, continuing education and regular training courses. Of course in technical matters, but also in personal and social aspects.

Workwear & BachnerShop

When you start work, we will provide you with three pairs of professional work pants and tops free of charge, as well as a pair of safety shoes every year. In addition to workwear, we have other clothing and various accessories in Bachner design for you to choose from. Carpooling to the site

Our work often takes place on construction sites at the customer's location, in industrial halls or office complexes, at schools as well as in airports or clinics. You don't have to drive there yourself – but together with your colleagues from the Bachner location with our company station wagons.

Additional earnings

It doesn't matter whether it's time to go away or to spend the vacations at home: In order to be able to master the daily challenges that our work brings, an occasional break from everyday life is essential. For this reason, all of our employees receive 30 days of vacation (based on a 5-day week). In addition, no additional vacation has to be taken on Christmas (12/24) and New Year's Eve (12/31).

Organized by the Lions Club Mainburg-Hallertau, we support the daily lives and education of our sponsored children in Haiti. Each branch of the Bachner Group is responsible for a sponsored child, and our employees also regularly collect donations.

The One World "Igelbau" Childcare Center

Our Igelbau company childcare center in Mainburg is also about making the world a little better. The inclusive kindergarten is for all children of all physical, mental, and social abilities. Regardless of nationality or religion – we celebrate diversity. That's why we were officially certified as a One World Childcare Center in 2020.
