Bachner Group wins environmental award in Mainburg

In July, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the city to our Mainburg branch. On this occasion, Mayor Karoline Fritz-Ertlmaier presented this year’s Mainburg Environmental Award to our Managing Director, Thomas Üffink, in recognition of our group’s commitment to environmental awareness. In addition to our company-wide activities—such as regularly collecting energy data from our locations, calculating our carbon footprint, and investing in energy-efficient technology—the city’s jury was particularly interested in measures implemented at our headquarters in Mainburg. Accordingly, the annual Environment Day for our apprentices at our Bachner Campus in Mainburg-Wambach and last year’s apprentice project to repower the PV system at our headquarters were particularly well-received. In collaboration with students from the Gabelsberger Gymnasium in Mainburg, a hands-on project is also planned for the coming school year under the direction of Stefan Kitschke, Head of the Management Systems Department. The project aims to teach students about key sustainable technologies related to the energy transition and to spark their interest in energy issues, renewable energy, and sustainable building energy supply.
