The future of critical infrastructure protection

The future of critical infrastructure protection

In June, we were a sales partner at the KRITIS Security Days Germany in Munich, organized by dormakaba Deutschland GmbH. The event at the Rohde & Schwarz Campus in Munich's Werksviertel district focused on the new KRITIS umbrella law, which regulates the resilience and security of critical infrastructures in Germany. Robert Fink, our Head of Security Technology, presented KRITIS-relevant customer solutions from our service portfolio. These include, for example, access control, process and barrier technology as well as separation systems.

Exchange of expertise at the highest level

Various speakers informed the participants about the current status of the legal framework and developments in the KRITIS umbrella law and about customer requirements. The second part of the day was followed by presentations on the latest solutions from software and hardware manufacturers in the field of security technology. Afterwards, there was enough time for a tour of the Rohde & Schwarz exhibition center and for professional discussions. We are delighted to have been part of this event!

What is behind the KRITIS law?

The KRITIS law adopted in November 2024 regulates the physical protection of critical infrastructures for the first time on a nationwide and cross-sector basis and lays down certain binding minimum requirements. Critical infrastructures are defined as facilities that are necessary to ensure the supply of the population and maintain the economy. These include, for example, energy suppliers, healthcare and public administration.
